When industry-leading design consultancy The Hettema Group needed to insure that the projection engineering and video content management for this high-profile project went off without a hitch, they called AME.
AME provided projection analysis and design for the 270 degree circular pre-show theatre, utilizing an array of six Christie WUXGA projectors sourced from 7th Sense Design’s uncompressed Delta-series server. The imagery is displayed in purest uncompressed glory at a full 4:4:4 chroma sub-sampling. (What does that mean? It looks really good.)
Additional displays, located both in the pre-show queues as well as an array in each cabin, required careful management through the production process. AME worked closely with media producers to insure content was delivered in the correct format. We provided spatial segmentation for all media and final compression for playback on Alcorn-McBride digital video play out servers.
It’s not over ’til the fat lady sings. And the backups are done. We finished off with coordinating the back-up of 4TB of digital video utilized on the project.
